“Chateau Montreal/Harry’s Reserve” – the Montreal Beach Resort’s new wine, bottled exclusively to commemorate the Cape May Beachfront Hotel’s golden anniversary celebration in 2016 – is a great way to ‘toast’ the hotel’s 50th birthday, and you – our loyal guests – to join in the celebration!
Only 50 cases of Chateau Montreal will be available for sale in the Wine Cellar – the Montreal Beach Resort’s onsite liquor store – as well as by the glass at Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille – the Cape May Hotel’s onsite restaurant.

Located right here at our beachfront hotel and named after our founder and patriarch, Harry Hirsch, we are pleased to unveil an exciting new restaurant and bar design, along with newly curated food and spirit offerings, at Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille.
New features include the largest indoor/outdoor bar of any Cape May hotel on the beach, and a freshly redesigned panoramic ocean patio. There is also new lighting, color schemes and flooring, along with eclectic décor highlighted by area artifacts and historical photos, reclaimed Douglas Fir tabletops, exposed Edison bulbs, rustic stained wood paneling, exposed brick, wood slat benches/banquets and more. Already a Cape May ‘must-do’ and a great place to enjoy dining inside or out, Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille is now even better.

Our 160-plus-page commemorative book, ‘A Cape May Story,’ documents the Montreal Beach Resort’s history and growth throughout the years. Heartwarming memories, historical facts and nostalgic photos are found throughout this fun, fact-filled coffee table book by Cape May resident and author Diane Stopyra, drafted in honor of the Montreal Beach Resort’s 50th anniversary.

What’s 8-plus feet high, made of sand, and is on display at the Montreal Beach Resort this summer as a part of our 50th birthday celebration? It’s our Montreal Beach Resort Sandcastle of course! Don’t visit our hotel or restaurant without snapping a selfie of you and your family and friends around this impressive custom creation. What started as six tons of loose sand is now a one-of-a-kind castle creation by local sand sculptor, Jeff Trumbauer. But don’t wait too long. The castle walls will give way to colder weather in a few months – so come snap that selfie now!

If you like Instagram, and you like taking selfies, then our Instagram Guest Scavenger Hunt Contest is for you.
