Cape May is full of exciting events in late September and early October, and many of the happenings around town cater to those that really need to get out of the house and just have fun. Whether your idea of fun is sitting down to see a show or getting up and enjoying the outdoors, you have a variety of events to explore.

Dead Man’s Cell Phone
During September and October, the Robert Shackleton Theater will be running Dead Man’s Cell Phone directed by Roy Steinberg. Written by Sarah Ruhl, the production centers around events that take place after a woman answers the cell phone of a cafe patron that has just passed away. Her act takes her into a world of mystery, reflection and love. The production runs for two hours, and tickets range in price from $18 to $38.

Strictly Dishonorable
The East Lynne Theater on Hughes Street will be showing Strictly Dishonorable throughout September and October. This long-time Broadway success tells the story of a Southern belle and her New England fiancé as they meet a slew of versatile characters in a Manhattan speakeasy. This show runs for two hours with tickets at the price of $30. There are also discounts for students and seniors.

Trivia Night at Willow Creek Winery
For two weeks in a row, Willow Creek Winery will be hosting their trivia night. This event allows guests to show their intelligence while competing against fellow trivia lovers. The winery will also provide vineyard prizes as guests enjoy their favorite wines and tapas. Admission is free, and the event will run from 6:30 pm to 9:30pm on September 22 and 29. All ages are welcome to enjoy the trivia session, and guests must be of age to drink.

Beachcomber’s 2nd Annual Krazy Color 5K Fun Run
If you need a bit of exhilarating entertainment in Cape May, try signing up for the Krazy Color 5K Run at Beachcomber Camping Resort on September 26, 2015. You can have fun, get exercise and help a good cause all at the same time. You can run, walk or even skip, but no matter how you finish you’ll end up covered in neon colors. The event starts at 9 am with an admission price of $45, and proceeds go toward Cape Regional Medical Center and Wildwood Catholic High School.
