July 4th celebrations in Cape May are back and better than ever. Below, find a list of upcoming holiday events including fireworks displays, parades, and historic reenactments. But first, mark your calendars for Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille annual July 4th concert featuring the E Street Shuffle! Free for guests of Montreal Beach Resort! 

 

The E Street Shuffle is Cape May’s premier Bruce Springsteen tribute band. The concert is a holiday tradition, and we can’t wait to enjoy classic covers of the Boss’s greatest hits. 

The concert will take place from 5pm to 9pm on Sunday, July 4th. BONUS: Cape May fireworks start shortly after the concert ends, and there’s no better view than from Harry’s rooftop patio! *First come, first served. No reservations accepted.  

Now, on to other Cape May July 4th celebrations. 

Cape May is the perfect spot to celebrate American’s birthday. In fact, many believe that July is the best time to visit our oceanfront resort. With colorful fireworks displays, parades, special events, and old-fashioned summertime fun, Cape May is absolutely a must-visit destination for Independence Day 2021. Here’s what’s happening this year. 

 

Independence Day Parade: July 3rd, 12pm 

This year, Cape May’s Independence Day Parade falls on Saturday, July 3rd. Beginning at 12:00 pm, the parade takes place along Beach Drive. Don’t miss this exciting celebration that includes vintage cars, holiday floats, and live performances by local musicians. Plus, all decorated golf carts, bicycles, and baby carriages are encouraged to enter the new “Best Decorated” contest for a chance to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes! What a blast!?  

  

Cape May City Fireworks: July 4th, 9:15pm  

Cape May City Fireworks are held at Congress Beach where onlookers may enjoy fantastic views from the sand, promenade, or any property facing Beach Avenue. The show begins at 9:15 pm and includes an hour of dazzling fireworks. Please note, in the event of rain, the fireworks display may be rescheduled or canceled. Rain date July 5th.  

  

Lower Township Fireworks: July 3rd, 5pm  

The Lower Township July 4th Festival and Fireworks Display begins at 5pm on July 3rd. This event, held along the bayfront, offers an evening of live music, entertainment, delicious food, children’s amusement rides, and spectacular fireworks. Festivities begin at 5pm between Lincoln Boulevard and Emerson Avenue. Amusement rides are on Washington Boulevard and Franklin Avenue. Fireworks begin after 9pm. 

 

Historic Cold Springs Village Independence Day Celebration: July 3rd and 4th, 11am to 4pm

Enjoy patriotic activities and events suitable for the entire family! On July 3rd and 4th from 11am to 4:30pm, this historic Independence Day integrated experience features a variety of patriotic family activities, programs, and music. Plus, the village’s restored historic buildings will be open with demonstrations of early American trades and crafts. It’s perfect for history buffs or those interested in learning more about colonial America. 

  

Dinner at Vintage & Fireworks atop the Cape May Lighthouse: July 4th 

Come for dinner and an exclusive opportunity to see Cape may fireworks from the ideal vantage point: atop the Cape May Lighthouse. Enjoy a four-course dinner at Vintage followed by a trolley ride to Cape May Lighthouse. Climb to the top and view the display from the Watch Gallery. Reservations only. Subject to cancellation if fireworks are canceled. $125. Presented by Cape May MAC.
