New changes coming soon! Last month we posted some exciting news. You may have read that Montreal Beach Resort and Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille are now under new ownership. Madison Resorts, a locally owned hospitality management company, acquired the two establishments earlier this month. What does that mean for you and summer 2022 in Cape May?

Summer 2022 in Cape May: Montreal Beach Resort and Harry’s

The things you love most about Harry’s will stay the same. Look forward to great food, cocktails, and even more live music this summer, plus new interactive entertainment. New menu items are also in the works sourced from fresh, local, ingredients.

As for The Montreal, our resort will undergo several renovations. Changes include a hotel lobby and guestroom remodel. All planned updates will be modest and retain the identity of our beloved oceanfront property. Think sophisticated Miami Beach meets fresh and breezy Jersey Shore.

Of course, access to the beach at Madison Avenue will remain a property mainstay, as will the oceanfront pool.

Montreal Beach Resort Summer 2022

This summer, guests will kick back in well-appointed rooms, lounge and play games on the beach, and enjoy delicious cocktails, poolside, beneath bluebird skies. New in 2022 will be room service (in addition to already established pool and beach service) to The Montreal from Harry’s.

All may enjoy our award-winning restaurant best known for fresh summer seafood and boozy crushed cocktails. Complete with a rooftop patio overlooking the Jersey Shore, plus live music every night, Harry’s will continue as the beat of summertime fun in Cape May.

A Family-Owned Resort

Montreal Beach Resort was founded, owned, and operated by the Hirsche family for more than 55 years. Madison Resorts is also a family-run company so expect the same open and welcoming atmosphere with updated offerings and a fresh new look.

New owner, Dan Alicea, and his wife have life-long ties to Cape May, and they understand the importance of preserving history and tradition for the Resort that was founded back in 1966.

“My wife was born and raised in Cape May County, now operating a piece of its history is a childhood dream coming true for both of us. We are humbled and honored to the Hirsch family for putting their trust in Madison Resorts, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring we hold the community first in our heart.” – Dan Alicea, Founder Madison Resorts

As always, we can’t wait to welcome you back – this year with refreshed and renewed offerings. Stay tuned for more information about room updates, spring and summer schedules, and new happenings coming soon.
