After dinner, head to the Ocean Street bus stop for an evening Cape May trolley tour brought to you by MAC. The Ghosts of Cape May Trolley tour is a fun and easy way to get to know our seaside village and immerse yourself in Cape May’s history. Cape May Weekend Itinerary Day 2

Coffee and a Bagel at Coffee Tyme

Start your day with the best coffee and breakfast sandwiches in Cape May at Coffee Tyme. Family-owned and operated, Coffee Tyme menu items are made from scratch, on-site. Plus, the view is amazing. TIP: try their blueberry muffins, loaded with fruit. Dine in or take your order to go before you head to the Washington Street mall for the best shopping in Cape May.

Exclusive Shopping at Washinton Street Mall

The Washington Street Mall is Cape May’s picturesque town square lined with unique shopping, dining, and more. Here, you’ll find a variety of unique boutiques, shops, fine-dining restaurants, and bars. The Mall serves as Cape May’s town square and features several benches, luscious gardens, historic markers, and gas lamps, making it the perfect spot to take Instagram-worthy photos of your weekend getaway.

Lunch

It’s no secret, Cape May is THE culinary capital of New Jersey. About town you’ll find world-class restaurants, working vegetable and dairy farms, plus special events dedicated to local favorites like crab, tomatoes, and lima beans. For decades, Cape May has been revered as a quaint Victorian town freckled with flavor. Choose from a number of nearby lunch spots downtown.

Visit Hawk Haven Vineyard

Let loose at Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery. On Saturdays, guests enjoy wine tasting, live music, and food trucks (just in case you need an afternoon snack). If wine isn’t your thing, you may prefer to spend time at Cold Spring Brewery, Nauti Spirits Distillery, or Cape May Distillery. Schedule a tour or simply stop in for a tasting.

Dinner

For dinner, we couldn’t possibly suggest just one restaurant out of the many amazing establishments in Cape May. There is absolutely something for everybody. Popular eateries are:

Cape May Weekend Itinerary Day 3

Breakfast

During the summer, we definitely recommend breakfast at Harry’s. But, now that it’s winter, breakfast service is postponed until spring. Instead, we suggest Mad Batter for a delicious sit-down breakfast or brunch. Enjoy award-winning dishes, pancakes, waffles, eggs, smoked salmon, and more.

Check-out

Sad, but we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Physick Estate

Before you leave, tour the Physic Estate – a historic staple in Cape May. Built in 1879, the 18-room mansion is an architectural wonder built by famed American architect Frank Furness and is one of the best examples of Victorian Stick Style architecture in the country. Tour the first and second floors of the museum for an in-depth look at Victorian architecture and the period, reflecting one Victorian family’s lifestyle, and detailing the way the Physick family and their household lived, worked, and spent leisure time. It’s also a great place to buy souvenirs.

There you have it. Our new Cape May weekend itinerary for 2022. Of course, there’s plenty more to do in Cape May all year long. Visit Montreal Beach Resort for the best beachfront accommodations in Cape May.
